Arrive at Noi Bai International Airport and transfer directly to your hotel in
central Hanoi. Check in and use the rest of the day to rest after your flight. If
you’re feeling up to it, step out and get a first feel for the city’s Old Quarter,
where narrow streets stay busy well into the evening.
Set off early for Hạ Long Bay and board your day cruise once you arrive at the harbour. Spend the day gliding past thousands of limestone karsts rising
from emerald waters, with lunch served on board. Head back to Hanoi by evening, with the day’s scenery still fresh in your mind.
Check out of your Hanoi hotel and transfer to the airport for a short domestic flight to Da Nang. On arrival, a private transfer takes you straight to your beachside hotel. You can use the rest of the day to settle in or walk along the coast.
Spend the morning exploring the Marble Mountains, a cluster of limestone and marble peaks dotted with caves and viewpoints over Da Nang’s coastline. In the afternoon, head to Hoi An for a guided walk through its ancient town. Later, take a lantern boat ride along the river before dinner and watch the town light up for the evening.
Have breakfast at the hotel before checking out and saying goodbye to Da Nang. A private transfer takes you to Da Nang International Airport, where you can catch your onward or return flight.
Da Nang, Vietnam Pavilion Da Nang Hotel offers a comfortable and contemporary stay near Da Nang’s beautiful My Khe Beach, featuring modern amenities and a relaxed ambience.
The hotel is subject to availability. An equivalent or superior property will be arranged in case of unavailability. Upgrades are available on request.
March to May is generally one of the best periods for a Vietnam group tour, with warmer, clearer weather across much of the country. September to November can also work well for northern Vietnam, but central regions can see more rain and storms during this period. Temperatures vary by region,
with northern Vietnam becoming quite cool in winter while southern Vietnam stays around 30°C for much of the year.
Most Hạ Long Bay cruises for day visitors run for around 7 to 8 hours, covering the transfer from Hanoi, time on board and lunch. Overnight cruises are also available for travellers who want to stay on the water longer.
Vietnamese food is usually quite mild, although the amount of chilli varies from one region and dish to another. Northern dishes tend to be gentler, while Central Vietnamese food can pack more heat. Chilli and spicy sauces are often served separately, so you can add as much as you like.
When visiting temples and pagodas, it’s best to dress modestly and keep greetings polite. You may also be asked to remove your shoes before entering homes or some religious sites, so keep that in mind as you travel.
Yes, Da Nang is known for its long sandy beaches and generally calm coastal waters. Many Da Nang tour packages combine a relaxed beach stop with nearby attractions such as the Marble Mountains or Ba Na Hills.
Vietnam’s history stretches across centuries of dynasties, French colonial rule and the Vietnam War. Sites such as Hue Imperial City and the Cu Chi Tunnels bring these different periods to life during a Vietnam tour package.
Many travellers extend their trip south for a Ho Chi Minh City tour, given its distinct pace and War Remnants Museum. It pairs well with a Mekong River Delta excursion for those with extra days.
Hanoi’s Old Quarter and the nearby Van Phuc weaving village are known for tailored clothing and silk, while Hoi An’s markets specialise in lacquerware and tailoring. Coffee and handicrafts make practical souvenirs.
Yes, Vietnam group tour packages are generally family-friendly, with cruises, beach time and city walks that suit a range of ages. You can adjust the pace for younger travellers when planning a custom Vietnam holiday package.
Vietnam uses the Vietnamese Dong (VND). You can usually pay by card at hotels and larger restaurants, but smaller shops, markets and street vendors often take cash only. Keeping a few smaller notes with you makes those everyday purchases much easier.
